¡Festivales a la vista!:

“Otro más muerde el polvo”, la letra de la icónica canción de Queen toma una nueva directriz respecto a su significado durante la época de festivales. Ya que dada la multitud de cuerpos moviendose, brincando y danzando no sólo son brazos los que se alzan al aire. Por lo que hay una consumición no estipulada en la entrada de acceso que le es servida a todos por igual: una buena copa de polvo. Aún así, para muchos estos eventos son un privilegio atesorado por los meses cálidos, que a pesar del hedor a sudor, la agonía de la aglomeración y la sordera que sigue a las noches de cánticos interminables; constituye una verdadera delicia gracias a la emoción del espectáculo, la serotoninas de escuchar sus canciones favoritas y, por supuesto, la diversión de lucir tus mejores galas.

Dado que el festejo por excelencia tuvo lugar en abril, se me puede acusar perfectamente de impuntualidad, sin embargo, tengo un motivo que me excusa de cualquier penitencia: hablar sobre un gentío de personas que en su mayoría visten como si hubiesen asaltado una tienda de disfraces o un Claire’s no es exactamente mi idea de un gran artículo. La pomposidad de Coachella cae en el saco de lo cutre, pues los únicos atuendos que merecían la pena ver durante los fines de semana que abarcó la fiesta fueron desplegados en el escenario (mención de honor a Harry Styles, Lizzo, Phoebe Bridgers y Aespa por sus estilismos).

No obstante, no echaré campanas al vuelo, pues teniendo en cuenta que los recién casados Brooklyn y Nicola Peltz Beckham se conocieron en dicho panorama californiano, es posible que se me vea rondando los alrededores en busca de mi billete de ida con destino: tener a Victoria Beckham como suegra.

Ahora bien, conjeturas sobre mis futuras nupcias en presencia de Posh Spice aparte, hay ciertos personajes que no deben ser condenados a la vergüenza de los peores vestidos, pues si un irrebatible noventa por ciento de los asistentes carecen de sentido estético con sus flecos adefesios y collares patibularios, hay otro tanto que no merecen ser condenados.

Por ejemplo, Gigi Hadid que comenzó su trayectoria luciendo vagos intentos de glamour, actualmente posee uno de los mejores estilos en lo que a festivales se refiere.

La musa de la generación Z: Emma Chamberlain, también resulta ilustrativa en lo que a redención se refiere pues sus atuendos pasaron de cuestionables a inigualables.

Pero, si tengo que exponer mi referente favorito, debo confesar que su energía de backstage durante un concierto de rock a la británica es enigmática, y es precisamente el hecho de que siempre se mantiene fiel a sus gustos y jamás presenta una apariencia forzada lo que mantiene a su infinidad de fans cautivados. Ya sea un mini vestido de brillantes con unas botas de agua embarradas, unos shorts con medias debajo o unos pantalones de látex con sus característicos abrigos Barbour, Alexa Chung nunca falla.

Puede resultar algo complicado encontrar esta armonía entre lo apropiado para un festejo sur roza en lo salvaje y la exquisitez ¿Cómo mantenerse en pie por esta tambaleante cuerda floja? Aunque parezca imposible, no lo es, y mucho menos esta temporada, pues contamos con el retorno del estilo festivalero por excelencia, el estilo bohemio.

Es fácil dejarse llevar por la explosiva variedad de combinaciones posibles que abarca esta corriente, pero hasta algo tan aparentemente insignificante como un accesorio fuera de lugar pueden echar a perder todo el potencial de un atuendo. De modo que una vez más surge la duda a cerca de cómo procurar no salirse de los límites de la elegancia, para ello debemos tomar en cuenta que este renacimiento de la tendencia no sigue las mismas reglas que antaño, ya que los tiempos evolucionan y la moda con el. No es una cuestión de buscar la manera en que reencarnar la vestimenta hippie, sino de darle regusto exótico a nuestro armario; tampoco debemos intentar reconstruir la preciada década de los setenta, simplemente limitarnos a emularla con discretas aunque perceptibles pinceladas.

A pesar los cambios ocasionados en lo que actualmente se define como Neoboho, siempre podemos recurrir a los pilares que permanecen inamovibles aún durante el cambio: las telas desenvueltas y ligeras con estampados ricos en color y motivos florales o étnicos se confeccionan en faldas maxi que prácticamente se arrastran por los suelos, vestidos campestres y blusas románticas.

Todos ellos fáciles de combinar con elementos más minimalistas como una americana que recoge el resto del conjunto, un calzado que rompa con el patrón establecido como pueden ser unas botas, pendientes que devuelvan la atención al rostro o tintes de las inclinaciones más populares del verano: recortes, siluetas ceñidas, plataformas, patchwork…

“Another one bites the dust”, the lyrics of the iconic Queen song takes on a new direction regarding its meaning during the festival season. Since, given the multitude of bodies moving, jumping and dancing, it is not only arms that are raised into the air. Leaving is a non-stipulated drink being served to everyone equally: a good glass of dust. Even so, for many these events are a privilege treasured by the warmer months, which despite the stench of sweat, the agony of crowding and the deafness that follows the nights of endless chants; It's a true delight thanks to the excitement of the show, the serotonin of listening to your favorite songs and, of course, the fun of wearing your best clothes.

Given that the quintessential celebration took place in April, I can perfectly be accused of being late, however, I have a reason that excuses me from any penance: to talk about a crowd of people who, for the most part, dress as if they had robbed a costumes department store or Claire's isn't exactly my idea of a great article. The pomposity of Coachella falls into the sack of the seedy, because the only outfits that were worth seeing during the weekends that the party covered were displayed on stage (honorable mention to Harry Styles, Lizzo, Phoebe Bridgers and Aespa for their styles).

I won't be tossing bells, though, since newlyweds Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham met on said Californian scenery, I might be spotted roaming around looking for my one-way ticket with destination: having Victoria Beckham as mother-in-law.

Now, conjectures about my future nuptials in the presence of Posh Spice aside, there are certain characters that should not be condemned to the shame of the worst dressed, because if an irrefutable ninety percent of the attendees lack aesthetic sense with their unattractive fringes and their hideous jewels, there are many others that do not deserve to be censured.

For example, Gigi Hadid who used to walk in vague attempts of glamour, currently has one of the best styles when it comes to festivals.

But, if I have to expose my favorite referent, I must confess that her backstage energy during a British-style rock concert is enigmatic, and it is precisely the fact that she always stays true to her tastes and never presents a forced appearance that keeps her uncountable number of fans captivated. Whether it's a sparkly mini dress with muddy wellies, shorts with stockings underneath, or latex pants with her signature Barbour coats, Alexa Chung never fails to impress.

It can be somewhat complicated to find this harmony between what is appropriate for a celebration considered to be wild and the exquisiteness. How to stay on your feet on this wobbly tightrope? Although it seems impossible, it is not, and much less this season, because we have the return of the most acclaimed festival style, the bohemian style.

It's easy to get carried away by the explosive variety of possible combinations that this current encompasses, but even something as seemingly insignificant as an accessory out of place can destroy the full potential of an outfit. So once again the question arises about how to try not to go beyond the limits of elegance, for this we must take into account that this revival of the trend does not follow the same rules as it may have followed once before, since times evolve and fashion evolves with it. It is not a matter of looking for a way to reincarnate hippie clothing, but of giving an exotic aftertaste to our wardrobe; nor should we try to reconstruct the precious decade of the seventies, simply limit ourselves to emulating it with discreet but perceptible brushstrokes.
