Tom Ford, el rey del sexo:

Es una verdadera pena tener que desmentir las palabras de una estrella como Justin Timberlake pero cuando dijo “I’m bringing sexy back” (traducción: traigo de vuelta lo sexy) en 2006, no pareció tomar en cuenta el hecho de que doce años antes dicha tarea ya le fue encomendada al legendario Tom Ford, quien no sólo la completo sino que también introdujo una nueva y revolucionaria perspectiva sobre la sensualidad.

Nacido en 1961 en Austin, Texas, el joven Ford cultivó diversas carreras atendiendo a su espíritu inquieto y multifacético, entre las cuales se encuentran cronológicamente: historia del arte (New York University), arquitectura con diseño de interiores (Parsons) y moda (Parsons). No es sorprendente que se le haya coronado como el “rey” del sexo ya que en más de una ocasión hemos visto como cruzaba los límites de descaro con su tanga para hombre o su campaña de Gucci con una “G” esculpida en el bello púbico de una mujer incluida. Pero, ¿no se trata realmente de eso mismo, de romper con las barreras para aventurarse en lo inexplorado? O en palabras de propio Tom Ford: “Yo no soy una persona que lidie con la realidad. Me inclino mas hacia una realidad mejorada”.
